Willian’s future has been a constant source of speculation since last summer with several reports linking the 29-year-old to United. However former Arsenal star turned pundit Stewart Robson believes the winger would leave Stamford Bridge this summer. According to Robson Willian has been unhappy at

Chelsea for a long time which could sway his decision to leave the club. he also believes though Willian has shown a tendency to disappear in some games his talent is without doubt. Robson also said the winger is most likely waiting for the identity of the next Chelsea manager before making his final decision.

“Willian is inconsistent,” he told ESPN FC.

“I think he hasn’t been happy at Chelsea for a while”

“He can be the best player on the field, he can be absolutely outstanding. “On another day he can play poorly, as was the case in this World Cup where he was taken off at halftime in two of the games.

“I think he hasn’t been happy at Chelsea for a while, he doesn’t always start there.

“He will be looking to see who the next manager is.

“But I think Willian, with his quality, he’ll be leaving Chelsea.”

Willian has struggled to nail down a starting spot for most parts of his career with the Blues despite being a fan favourite at Stamford Bridge. The player despite falling down the pecking order under Conte was voted by his teammates as the club Players’ Player of the Year.

Several clubs are interested in signing the flamboyant winger. Barcelona have the player on their radar as they aim to fill the void left by Iniesta exit this summer. However, the most likely location for the Brazilian is United as Mourinho is said to be keen to reunite with the player and has made him (Willian) his top target this summer.

Willian signed from Anzhi Makhachkala in 2013 and has won two Premier League titles during his stint with the London club.
