Jose Mourinho frustrated with Ed Woodward over £50m transfer target

Portuguese tactician, Jose Mourinho is reportedly not happy with Manchester United chief, Ed Woodward after the executive vice-chairman failed to pursue the Special One’s primary target this January transfer window.

English international, Danny Rose is believed to be a primary target for Jose Mourinho this January transfer window and according to reports making the rounds, the defender is believed to be available for a fee in the region of £50 million if he is to leave the north-London club this month.

However, reports from a source close to the club understands executive vice-chairman, Ed Woodward believes £50 million is quite pricey for Tottenham full-back, Danny Rose and would rather go for cheaper and younger alternatives.

Although, reports also suggests the Special One might have to offload some fringe players if he is to sign Danny Rose this month or wait till the end of the season.

The defender has been linked with a winter move to the Theatre of Dreams after failing to nail down a starting berth in the Spurs eleven since he returned from a knee injury.

The English defender has grown into one of the finest left-backs in the Premier League since he became a regular for the north-London club and has featured in just 9 games for Tottenham across all competitions.

He is known for his pace, tackling, crossing, versatility, long shots and defensive contributions.

The 27-year-old would be a quality addition to the Red Devils squad given his level of consistency, proven Premier League experience and would definitely be an upgrade on the likes of Daley Blind and Luke Shaw who have failed to nail down a starting berth in the starting eleven.
