Kevin de Bruyne reveals why he left Chelsea when he did..



Kevin de Bruyne of Manchester City reveals the reason behind his failed spell with Chelsea, disclosing that he was young and impatient with the then boss of the Blues Jose Mourinho.

Last Premier League season, the Belgium international found the back of the net scoring 8 goals and recorded 16 assists to his name and with that remarkable performance de Bruyne established himself as assist king of the Premier League. Rewarding his outstanding performances, he was crowned winner of the inaugural Premier League playmaker of the year award and went home with Manchester City Player of the Year Award.

de Bruyne joined Manchester City in 2015 from German outfit VFL Wolfsburg, and played a key role as Pep Guardiola’s team made their way to the League title as one of the most dominant performance in present day football history.

While speaking in the new Amazon documentary series de Bruyne commented “All or Nothing”, as reported by Manchester Evening News, “I was only 20 years old when I decided to sign for Chelsea, and I got my chances in the first few games and I thought, okay, things are going well, I play okay, we won the games. But then one day it stopped. Knowing me, I had not a lot of patience at the time, I decided to go in January.”

The 27-year old Manchester City player has experienced failure and frustration in the past and little bumps along the way which he termed impatient, before his recent spells, speaking about his time at Chelsea, things did not go according to plan for the midfielder who arrived Stamford Bridge in 2012 as a highly rated young talent from the Genk Belgium Side and remained with the Blues until 2014 summer when he transferred to Wolfsburg and got the opportunity he wanted, to showcase himself freely on the pitch and develop into a world-class talent.
