Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius is in talks to move to Turkish side Besiktas, according to the Daily Mirror.

Deposed Liverpool stopper Loris Karius has been linked with a move to Besiktas as he seeks to end his nightmare stay at Anfield. Karius made high profile gaffes in the Champions League final defeat against Real Madrid leading to heavy criticism from fans worldwide.

According to the Mirror Besiktas are interested in the services of the Liverpool Stopper on a season-long loan. Besiktas recently failed in a bid to sign Arsenal goalkeeper Ospina who moved to Italian side Napoli this has turned the Turkish giants towards Karius.

The 25-year-old signed from Mainz two seasons ago and was regarded as one of the brightest young goalkeepers in Europe as at that time. He initially struggled with Injury but usurped Simon Mignolet as the first choice goalkeeper of the club last season. Despite some notable performances, Karius fell to an all-time low gifting two goals in the Champions League defeat to Madrid.

Jurgen Klopp initially stood by the player before gaffes in Pre-season led the club to sanction a then transfer record of  £56million for the signing of Brazillian Alisson Becker from Roma. Chelsea has since broken the record signing Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletic Bilbao.

A move away from England to an obscure league away from the prying eyes of the English media is good for the Karius as he still has time on his side to rediscover his confidence and regain his form.
