Liverpool to announce mega transfer this week

English giants, Liverpool could announce the departure of Brazilian superstar, Philippe Coutinho in a matter of days according to reports making the rounds in Spain.

The Brazilian international was linked with a big-money move to the Nou Camp last summer, but the Reds hierarchy insisted the playmaker wasn’t for sale at any price and rejected three offers reported to be in the excess of £100 million.

However, despite the attacking midfielder not being able to move to the Nou Camp last summer he has been in superb form for the Reds so far this term and has continued to be heavily linked with the La Liga leaders.

Daily Express reports that the Catalan giants are close to agreeing a deal for the playmaker and could be announced within the next few days and can also be made official this week.

It is believed the Spanish giants could submit an offer in the excess of £100 million just like they did last summer.

Barcelona kit sponsor, Nike have further fuelled speculation of the playmaker imminent exit from Anfield after advertising Barcelona shirts with Coutinho’s name printed on the back on their website and with the attacking midfielder absent from the Reds matchday squad in a 2-1 win away to Burnley on new year’s day, it’s only a matter of time before he secures his dream move to Barcelona.

The 25-year-old has been in sensational form for the Reds so far this term and has featured in 19 games for the Kops across all competitions scoring 12 times and providing 8 assists.

He is known for his flair, technique, passing, long shots, dribbling, crossing, scoring direct free-kicks and also a dead ball specialist.

Barcelona and Coutinho looks like a marriage made in heaven and he could be the perfect replacement for Neymar, but he won’t be much of a miss at Anfield with the rise of summer signing Mohammed Salah who has been nothing short of sensational since his €42 million move from Serie A side, AS Roma last summer having scored 23 goals in all competitions so far this season.
