Deal Closed: Liverpool reveal plans over transfer of Philippe Coutinho

Liverpool plans for former player Philippe Coutinho have been unravelled with rumours of a reported interest from Manchester United.

The Reds are not interested in reuniting with the player after incessant reports of the player’s unhappiness at Camp Nou following irregular playing time and poor performances.

Liverpool sold the little magician to Barcelona last January for £142 million amid incessant pressure, which included feigning injuries from the player to let him join the La Liga giants.

Now that he has gone and won the La Liga with the club he joined about a year ago from Liverpool, his influence has waned and he is reportedly unsettled.

He is facing a little upheaval with the team with the coach publicly informing him to improve his performances after a lacklustre showing by the Brazilian in the lost to Levante in the Copa Del Rey.

“When [Ousmane] Dembele wasn’t playing, everyone was asking about him,’ said the Barca boss. ‘Now Coutinho isn’t playing and it’s the other way around. ‘When a player isn’t playing or isn’t happy, he has to fight to revert the situation.”

Manchester United have been mentioned to be among a host of other European clubs monitoring the player’s situation.

This interest by United was supposed to spur Liverpool into entering negotiations with Barcelona to re-sign the player, but the club is not interested and rather believe in unearthing new talents.

Coutinho, 26, is a good player that will find his mojo again if he gets adequate support from his teammates and manager. However, if he decides to depart Barcelona, we wish him luck moving forward.
