Liverpool target Adrien Rabiot wants deal with club but on one condition

PSG ace Adrien Rabiot is reportedly seeking a wage of €5million a year to commit his long-term future at the French outfit. Rabiot has less than a year on his contract and would be available as a free agent at the end of the season.

The French ace has emerged as a cultured midfielder able to dictate the tempo of a game with his passing and creativity. His contract situation has alerted several clubs to the availability of his services with the likes of Liverpool, AC Milan, Juventus and Barcelona interested in the player.

Italian tabloid Calcio Mercato reported that the major hitch surrounding the contract situation is Rabiot demand for a wage of around £86,000 to sign for the club. L’Equippe also reported that Barcelona have contacted the player’s representatives over a move. The same report also claims that Liverpool have packaged a pre-contract agreement for the player ahead of next season.

PSG boss Thomas Tuchel has expressed his desire for the French midfielder to remain in Paris and wants to build the midfield around the French international.

Rabiot loss could be Liverpool’s gain and it would be interesting to see how this news pans out in the next few months.
