Big, yet sad news depending on which club you support at the moment, as it is claimed that Roma goalkeeper has agreed to join Real Madrid.

Madrid are set to break a world record if news about Alisson Becker happens to hold water. Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo (h/t Metro)claim that Alisson has agreed personal terms with the capital club.

Although no transfer fee has been agreed by both club, as they are miles apart in their valuation of the 25-year-old. Roma are seeking a fee around £70 million whilst the Los Blancos are insisting to pay £52.4 million – £48m plus an extra £4.4m in add-ons.

It is expected that they will reach an agreement in coming weeks, and that will see Alisson become the World most expensive goalie. The current record is being held by Manchester City goalkeeper, Ederson (£34.7m)

It was previously reported that Liverpool were close to sealing the transfer of Roma shot stopper, Alisson. However, they may have to watch as yet another target slip from their hands. This is coming on the back of the Nabil Fekir’s deal which collapsed whilst talks were in advanced stages.

It remains to be seen why Liverpool failed to sign Alisson but it is quite certain that they need all the help they can get to rescue What looks like a ticking time bomb in Loris Karius .
