Liverpool well placed to sign Brazilian after meeting with agent – report

Liverpool could yet sign goalkeeper Alisson Becker if they continue in their pursuit of the Brazilian international.

AS Roma’s manager Ramon Rodriguez Verejo commonly known as Monchi has insisted that there is no slated amount in mind as the club hasn’t yet receive any formal offers over the goalkeeper.

Based on the reports from Italy, it is believed that the Reds are in pole position for the signing of the goalkeeper as they have met with his agent Stefano Castagna in June.

However, with the transfer season coming to an end, a last minute change can be made despite reports claiming that Liverpool are no longer interested in the goalie due to his transfer fee worth over £60 million.

Alisson joined the Italian Serie A side Roma in July 2016 as he made his first debut appearance for the club on the 17 of August 2016 in a 1-1 draw with FC Porto in the UEFA Champion’s league.

The 25-year-old was praised for his performance in the Champions league, he played key role in the club’s campaign in which they reached the semi-finals. The club didn’t concede a goal at the Stadio Olimpico during the Champions League tournament until the semi-final match against Liverpool which they won 4-2 but lost 7-6 based on aggregate.
