Man United leading the chase for Alexis Sanchez but there is a twist to it

Arsenal have given up hopes of keeping wantaway striker, Alexis Sanchez with the Gunners chiefs ready to sell the Chilean either this month or allow him leave on a free in the summer but only on two conditions will the contract rebel be allowed to leave the Emirates.

Reports making the rounds claims the Gunners will only allow the Chilean attacker leave the Emirates if and only if a replacement is brought in and a fee in the region of £35 million is received for the wantaway striker.

Although, it is believed the north London club have already held talks with French side, Bordeaux over the services of Brazilian winger Malcolm who has been earmarked by Wenger as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez but no deal has been agreed yet between both clubs and might have to fend off competition from Premier League rivals, Manchester United and Tottenham who are also interested in signing the Brazilian.

Meanwhile the former Barcelona forward is believed to be the subject of a two-way transfer battle between Manchester clubs with the Citizens reportedly favorites to land the Chilean having submitted a £20 million bid but neighbors United have countered their neighbors offer with a bid in the region of £25 million and are also willing to include struggling Armenian playmaker in a player plus cash deal.

Premier League leaders, Manchester City might be front-runners to sign the former Barcelona striker but a £25 million bid + Henrikh Mkhitaryan looks like a bargain and the Gunners might be tempted to sell to the 20-times Premier League champions rather than selling to the Citizens and get nothing in return.

The 29-year-old has featured in 20 games across all competitions for the Gunners this term scoring 8 times and providing 3 assists.
