Man United News: Agent tells Man United to pay €100M to seal deal

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has never made it a secret of his desire to strengthen the backline all season. One of the defensive targets linked to United is Inter Milan ace Milan Skriniar and his manager has revealed the amount required to sell the player.

Earlier this week Italian media had claimed that United are close to reaching an agreement to sign the 23-year-old in January.

According to the reports, Inter Milan are demanding a fee within the region of €80m to €100 million to sell the player. Skriniar has developed into a top defender during his time at San Siro under the tutelage of Luciano Spaletti.

Spaletti was quizzed by reporters about the value of the defender in the aftermath of Inter’s 1-1 draw with Barcelona on Tuesday. He instantly replied that Skriniar was worth in the excess of 100 million while he cheekily added extra fee which according to him is a tip.

“How much does Skriniar cost? 100 million,” Spalletti told reporters after Inter’s 1-1 draw with Barcelona at San Siro.

“If I were Barca, I would pay 120 million and say that 20 million are the tip. If I were Real Madrid, I would give 140 million, including a 40 million tip.”

Skriniar would be a massive boost for the Old Trafford outfit as he is strong in the air and has well rounded defensive skills. Furthermore, he is a powerful defender which means he would be able to cope with the physical nature of the EPL.

Skriniar has continued his impressive performances this season and has made 13 appearances in all competitions for the Italian giants.
