Man United receive boost in chase for reliable defender, £50 million sees deal done

By Dave Marshall

Manchester United have been boosted in our pursuit of Tottenham left back, Danny Rose after reports emerged that the England international could be let go by The North London outfit in the winter transfer window if any club can stump out £50m for his services.

The player has never hidden his intention to play for a bigger side as he has grown tired of his club challenging for the major titles without winning anything. The Mirror reports that Tottenham chairman, Daniel Levy is ready to sanction the deal as the club have grown tired of his tantrums.

The relationship between the player and his manager, Mauricio Pochettino is reported to have broken down after the player aimed a jibe at the club about his wages. Back in August, Rose was fined two weeks wages after claiming that he “wasn’t getting what he deserved”.

The player has only recently returned from a knee injury but has seen his place in the first team almost taken over by Wales defender, Ben Davies. Pochettino is reported to have told his scouts to get a replacement for the want away player in January.

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho is a huge admirer of his qualities and believes his signing will solve the problematic left back position at the club. The likes of Luke Shaw, Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian have failed to impress our manager, with winger, Ashley Young making that slot his in recent months with a string of impressive performances.

Rose, 27 was born in Doncaster and has always favored a return back to the North after leaving for London at such a young age. The player, under the tutelage of Pochettino has become one of the best left backs in the division, and has made the national team slot his own.

Rose will look at former club teammate, Kyle Walker who left Tottenham in the summer for bigger things at Manchester City, and has looked at home at The Etihad with the Citizens challenging for the league title. Rose is a left back known for his attacking instincts without losing sight of his defensive responsibilities.

He has spent his entire career at Tottenham, going out on loan periodically for first team opportunities , making 147 appearances and scoring 10 times. He will be a valuable addition to our team.
