Man United set to unsettle Liverpool fans with move to sign £146m creative attacker

Huge reports have emerged of United’s interest in signing former Liverpool little magician, Phillipe Coutinho who completed a saga filled £146m transfer to Barcelona last January.

This report will upset Liverpool supporters beyond measure if there is even an iota of truth to it. Yes, it should considering the circumstances which he left.

Coutinho, 26, left the Reds at the middle of last season, a betrayal the supporters of the club are still battling to understand given that the club was doing well in the league and especially well in the champions league.

Moving on, the Brazilian hasn’t had quite a  stellar impact has envisaged since joining the Catalans. So far, he has assisted just one goal and chipped in with 4 goals in 16 appearances this season.

A not so impressive stat given that the player he was brought in to replace or better was club veteran Andres Iniesta who left the club last summer.

Regarding appearances, the ex Inter Milan playmaker and Anfield star has not featured from the start for the La Liga giants since 2nd December 2018.

Top clubs in Europe have been reported to be interested in securing the services of the Brazilian including Liverpool arch-rival, Manchester United.

It is yet to be reported if Barcelona are willing to do business with Manchester United for the superstar who earns a little below quarter of a million.
