Man Utd Could Sign Prolific 41-Goal Striker In £70m Deal

Manchester United’s summer business has been dominated with their search for a reliable forward striker. One name making the rounds is that of Polish star Robert Lewandowski after the player hinted on leaving Bayern Munich. It is believed by English news outlet, Teamtalk, that Lewandowski is being courted by United this summer.

Lewandowski is a viable option as a fee of £70 million is touted as being enough to seal the deal with the Bavarian outfit. However, one major problem according to the Daily Star is concerning his wages. Lewandowski turns 30 next summer and is said to be demanding one last huge contract. He currently earns £300,000 a week at Bayern but could be demanding close to £450,000 per week to leave Germany.

United may have little problems in paying such wages as the current highest earner Alexis Sanchez earns £450k a week.

Though the chance for United to sign Lewandowski should be grasped with both hands as £70 million is a fair price for the prolific forward. The Poland international has been impressive since moving to Bayern Munich in 2014 where he has scored 151 goals in 195 appearances for the German champions.
