Manchester City Signing of Gabriel Jesus, a good bargain – Fernandinho

Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho has indicated that the £27 million signing of teammate Gabriel Jesus is a real bargain referencing the current high prices at which footballers are being signed across the world.

The 20-year-old Brazilian joined Manchester City in January 2017 from Palmeiras after helping them to their first National league title in 22 years which saw him being named as their player of the season. He has since made his mark for Manchester City racking up 12 goals and 5 assists in 18 Champions League and Premier League appearances.

The Brazilian professional footballer is currently on international duty with the Brazilian national team and played for 90 minutes in their 0 – 0 draw against Bolivia in the World Cup qualifying match on Thursday.

Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho strongly believes that Manchester City got value for their money with the signing of the centre-forward and he still as much to offer the current English premier league leaders. Perhaps the English side boss, Pep Guardiola also believes the same after allowing the departure of Kelechi Iheanacho to create room for the youngster.

Here is what Fernandinho told via Manchester Evening News.

“With the market we’re facing nowadays, not only regarding the Neymar deal but also the players that arrived in England this season, a market well-known for spending huge sums… for what Gabriel has shown back in Brazil and what he’s been doing so far, I think he ended up being a real bargain for us,”

“We are happy with that, because the club managed to pay little for a wonderful player with a huge future ahead of him, whose perspectives are the best possible.

“Somehow, Gabriel managed to be ‘left out’ of this transfer market madness we are all seeing nowadays.”
