Manchester United eager to seal deal for superstar midfielder in January

on reports that English giants, Manchester United are reportedly willing to sign PSG midfielder, Lucas Moura on loan till the end of the season, though his club want an option to buy clause in the offer. The 25-year-old former wonderkid has struggled in recent years, and is interested in a move away from the Parc des Princes in search of regular first team football and stake a claim to make Brazil’s squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The player has fallen down the pecking order at PSG this season following the arrival of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe and is now set to depart in this month’s transfer window.

Moura was once a target for Manchester United in Sir Alex Ferguson’s final season as manager back in 12/13, before the player moved to Paris for a reported €45m, which the legendary Scotsman felt was too steep for a teenager at tie time.

United have reportedly made him our top transfer target this month but only want him on loan, with a view to making it permanent if he does well in that time. Jose Mourinho has complained that he needs to strengthen in a bid to compete for trophies, and Moura will be an excellent addition to our team given that he is a classy winger that can play on either flank.

PSG are looking to offload a number of players in a bid to balance the books following the arrivals of Neymar and Mbappe who cost a joint £363m, and Moura is a dispensable player as manager, Unai Emery has favoured the pair alongside Uruguayan goal machine, Edinson Cavani. PSG, however, will only negotiate the loan offer if it leads to a permanent £40m transfer.

Moura is a classy attacking midfielder known for his pace, dribbling and creativity. At 25, he needs to be playing regularly and Manchester United can offer him that. He has played only 12 times this season, scoring 4 times and creating a goal.
