Manchester United face competition from Premier League rivals for Lorenzo Pellegrini

Italian international Lorenzo Pellegrini who has been impressive for his club Roma so far in the Serie A this season and has caught the attention of English giants Manchester United, but we might have to ward off competition from rivals Chelsea and Manchester City who are also keen on the Roma midfielder.

The Italian midfielder is one of the brightest and hottest property in the Serie A currently and if he maintains his good form throughout the campaign, Italian side Roma not be able to keep hold of their youngster with Premier League giants keen on his signature and with is release clause set at £22.1 million.

The 21-year-old grew from the ranks at Boyhood club Roma having joined them as a nine-year-old but was handed his debut by former Roma manager Rudi Garcia in 2015, he came on as a second-half substitute for teammate Salih Ucan in Roma’s 1-0 win over Cesena in the Serie A. He later joined Italian side Sassuolo on the 30th of June 2015 for a fee reportedly in the region of €1.25 million, but a buy back clause option of €8-10 million was included as part of the deal. However, two years later after successful spells at Sassuolo, the Giallorossi exercised their buy back option of €10 million and resigned the midfielder on a five year deal after impressive displays for Sassuolo last season.

Jose Mourinho keeping tabs on the Italian international makes perfect sense after watching his side struggle in the absence of influential midfielder Paul Pogba and might want to bolster his squad with the signature of the highly rated youngster, but he might decide to stay at Roma and mature as a Player with fears he might not get enough playing time having enjoyed starting berth under new manager Eusebio Di Francesco.
