Manchester United growing confident of signing Gareth Bale

Manchester United are reportedly growing confident of signing Welsh international Gareth Bale next summer, but it is reported that he can only move to Old Trafford if Spanish international David De Gea moves in the opposite direction. The winger could be allowed to leave the Bernabeu next summer having endured an indifferent start to the season due to injuries, and with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez willing to part ways with the Welshman, he could be on his way to Old Trafford with the Special One keeping tabs on the player’s situation at Real Madrid.

Jose Mourinho’s effort to sign a wide attacking midfielder in the summer failed to materialize after a move for Croatian winger Ivan Perisic didn’t work out with United not ready to meet the player’s asking price from Inter Milan, but, the Special One publicly admitted in the summer he would move for the former Tottenham star if he became available ahead of our UEFA Super Cup 2-1 loss to Real Madrid in August. However, United will be hoping to complete a deal for the Welsh attacker barring the inclusion of Spanish international David De Gea who has been in fine form so far this season and has always been linked with a move to the Spanish giants for the past few seasons.

The Spaniard consistency makes him stand-out and he is arguably one of the best goalkeepers in the world, he produced another world class save to deny Joel Matip at Anfield on Saturday and kept us in the game as the game ended in a goalless draw.

The 28-year-old is known for his blistering pace, great crossing ability, technique, dribbling and also a dead ball specialist. The Welsh international has scored three goals in nine games in all competitions so far this season.
