Maurizio Sarri confirms box-to-box midfielder will be a Chelsea player this season

Ruben Loftus-Cheek who was recently showed interest in wanting to make a loan move away from Stamford Bridge to get a regular first-team appearance despite featuring in Chelsea’s match against Arsenal appears to be staying back as Chelsea’s coach Maurizio Sarri has yesterday confirmed Loftus-Cheek to be staying with the club for at least till January.

Loftus-Cheek joined Chelsea in 2014 and has made 24 appearances in total with two goals to his name and was on loan to Crystal Palace last season.

Well, a move does not look like something that will materialise between now and the close of the European transfer window by the end of the month but if he still decides on making a move away, he would have to wait until January when the transfer market opens.

During Sarri’s weekly news conference on Friday, the Italian man stated “Loftus-Cheek will remain with us.”

Sarri also revealed that the talk about the 22-year old English international may resume in December but he is not set to make a promise as the decision is not up to him.

When addressing the issue of less feature experienced by some players, the former Napoli coach pleaded with players that there will soon be space for everyone to get a chance to feature by next month when the Blues will be having at least 3 matches weekly.
