Midfielder confirms he will play for Man United next season

Manchester United midfielder, Andreas Pereira has confirmed that he will play for the club next season after spending the last campaign on loan at Spanish outfit, Valencia.

The Brazilian midfielder impressed at the Los Che, helping them to qualify for the Champions League for the first time since 2015. United manager, Jose Mourinho wanted the 22-year-old to stay at Old Trafford, but the player moved to Spain in order to get more playing time and aid his development.

The Spanish club are exploring the possibility of signing him on a permanent deal, though the latest comments by the player means he is planning for life at the Theatre of Dreams next term. He played on the wings at Valencia, which is his favorite position though Mourinho had played him as a deep-lying playmaking position. He watched United’s 1-0 victory over Watford at Old Trafford earlier in the month in the directors box and has now said his goodbyes to Valencia on his social media channels.

He wrote, “I arrived at Valencia with the aim of helping the club reach the place it belongs and together we have achieved our aim,” he wrote. “Today, I returned to Manchester United, but I will carry this emblem and the fans always in my heart. Thanks to everyone.”.

There is a huge summer splurge on the horizon at United this summer, as Jose Mourinho wants a number of signings to challenge for the title. Michael Carrick has retired and Marouane Fellaini is expected to leave after failing to agree new terms, meaning that there might be an  opening for him when the club fly out to the United States on July 15

Pereira is highly rated at the club and by Jose Mourinho. He is a midfielder that can play a number of positions. He made 29 appearances for Los Che last season, earning plaudits for his performances.
