Mourinho desperate to have exciting striker at Old Trafford

Manchester United are hoping Paul Pogba will help convince Paulo Dybala to make a move to Old Trafford in the near future.

It is common knowledge that Antoine Griezmann may never don the red colours of Man United any time soon after reports emerged that Barcelona are frontrunners in the chase for his signature. The 26-year-old almost made the move to England but chose to stay put at Atletico Madrid in a bid to repay the faith shown to him by the Spanish club over the years.

However, it seems the deal may never happen as Mourinho appears to have focused on signing Dybala. Daily Star reports that Mourinho is keen on signing the Argentine and will be hoping to leverage on ‘bromance’ shared between both players. You may recall that same tactics was used in signing Romelu Lukaku from Everton despite keen interest from strong favourites Chelsea.

The pair featured prominently for Juve in the 2015/16 season in which Dybala emerged as the club’s top scorer with 23 goals to his name despite being a newcomer that year. This season he has successfully recorded 14 goals in 18 Serie A appearances.

United may not succeed in signing the versatile forward this January but a deal could yet pull through when the summer transfer window opens.
