The sacking of Jose Mourinho has ushered in a new lease of life at Manchester United as the club have gone on a six-game winning streak under interim coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. However, one player whose stock has reduced under the new coach is Belgium ace Marouane Fellaini.

The towering midfielder was one of Mourinho’s favourite player but has seen his playing time drastically reduced under the new management. The 31-year-old has made just two appearances so far and was not included in the match squad for the last two Premier League games against Tottenham and Newcastle.

The Mirror claims that Fellaini is close to a transfer away from the club in a deal worth £15 million.

The report mentions no particular club but it is believed it could be a Chinese Super League team or Turkish club. Fellaini recently signed a new 2-year deal last summer worth £100,000 a week and United are looking to take him off their wage bill.

The club also wants to recoup a good chunk of the transfer fee in a bid to fund an adequate replacement for the former Everton midfielder.

Fellaini was signed by United from Everton for a transfer fee of £27million in the summer of 2013.
