Nabil Fekir to Chelsea update; Blues decides on move

Chelsea have reportedly decided against a late summer double move for Liverpool target and Lyon star Nabil Dekir.

The playmaker was linked with a move to Liverpool in June but the deal didn’t materialise despite a speculated deal worth £53million was made.

However, The Liverpool Echo has recently revealed the reason behind the failure of the deal to materialise bothers on the uncertainty of the player’s capability after the known long-term history of Knee cap injury Fekir faced.

Report from says the Blues were actually interested in getting Fekir signed but “opted against signing the France international after keeping hold of a number of players in the same position”.

Furthermore, they claim Chelsea boss Maurizuo Sarri was bent on getting his squad in good shape and bolstering his forward options as he deliberated on signing Dortmund star Christian Pulisic but a move was however decided against.

The report made it  known that if Eden Harzard had decided on a move to Real Madrid, Pulisic would have been Harzard’s replacement and again, Willian’s decision to stay at Stamford Bridge was also a key factor.
