Nabil Fekir will sign for Liverpool on one condition

Nabil Fekir to Liverpool saga is not over as the Reds are reported to be interested in signing the French international even after they earlier pulled the plug on the deal.

Liverpool were close to sealing a deal for the 24-year-old after agreeing a £54 million deal before a failed medical caused the Reds to pull out from the deal. However, The Mirror reports that talks between both clubs are expected to resume after the World Cup.

It is claimed that Jurgen Klopp is still interested in the player though Reds chiefs want to negotiate a reduced fee.

Fekir was impressive for Lyon last season but doubts still persist over the state of his knees after suffering a severe knee injury two seasons ago. It has emerged from France that United have entered negotiations with Lyon to snap the 24-year-old playmaker from France. Lyon president recently gave a feedback on the player’s future claiming he was no longer negotiating with Liverpool for the player. He, however, admitted United interest in the player hinting that head coach Mourinho had made recent contact over the midfielder.

“I was with Jose Mourinho the other day. We had long discussions.

“Personally, I am no longer in discussions with Liverpool. “At the moment, we are waiting for France and Nabil to have a fantastic World Cup.”

Fekir has been a bit part player in the world making 5 appearances as a substitute during France run to the world cup final. Fekir 24 scored 18 goals and contributed 8 assists for Lyon in all competitions last season.
