Not Dzeko – Super agent working hard to broker striker’s move to Chelsea

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Burnley striker, Ashley Barnes this January transfer window.

The Blues have been in the hunt for a back-up striker to struggling Spanish striker, Alvaro Morata who has looked out of sorts lately and have failed to score in any of his last six games across all competitions.

The west London club was heavily linked with a move for West Ham striker, Andy Carroll but a potential deal failed to materialize as the target man picked up an unexpected six weeks injury of which scuppered his chances of moving to Stamford Bridge this month.

However, an injury to the English striker has prompted the Blues to move for AS Roma striker, Edin Dzeko but with the Premier League champions struggling to agree a fee for the Bosnian with Serie A giants, super-agent Pni Zahavi has reportedly recommended a cheaper alternative to Roman Abramovich in Ashley Barnes.

With Conte keen on bolstering his attacking options before the window shuts, it is believed the Blues are seriously considering a move for the Burnley striker with Roman Abrahamovic understood to have vetoed the move.

Although, no fee has been agreed for the forward between the two clubs but reports suggest the west London club are hopeful on striking a deal with the Clarets this month.

The 28-year-old joined Burnley for an undisclosed fee in the winter of 2014 from Brighton & Hove Albion on a three-and-a-half year deal and has become a regular for the Clarets.

He is often deployed as a centre forward but can also play as a winger and has featured in 23 games across all competitions for Burnley this season scoring 3 goals.
