Official – Chelsea announce £10 million deal

Chelsea seem to be undergoing a torrid time, as per convincing their key players to sign new deals and also in their quest for a new manager. However, there is some good news for the fans.

The club have announced a shirt-sleeve sponsorship deal with South Korean multinational conglomerate, Hyundai Motor Group. This deal replaces Alliance Tyres on the left sleeve, but only in domestic competitions.

Both parties have agreed a four-year deal which will run out in 2022. The deal reportedly worth £10 million now becomes the world’s highest shirt-sleeve sponsorship deal since the Manchester City and Nexen Tire deal in March 2017 worth around £5 million.

This is another achievement from club director, Marina Granovskaia who was responsible for brokering the team’s sponsorship deal with Nike, that will fund £60m per year to the club until 2032.

These are great times for the Blues, as it means more money will be available for quality signings. The Chelsea fans will be hoping that the club’s healthy financial state translates to on-field success after an underwhelming campaign last term.

The FA Cup triumph more like papered the cracks, but we do know there is no hiding place for whoever manages the club next term.
