Official: Club Chief Confirms Chelsea Double Done Deal

Chelsea fans have finally gotten the news they’ve been waiting for as Napoli chief confirms that Maurizio Sarri is close to making a move to Stamford Bridge.

De Laurentiis has been negotiating a severance fee with Chelsea for the release of Sarri. The 59-year-old had been relieved of his duties as Napoli boss but is still technically under contract with the Italian side.

De Laurentiis revealed this when unveiling new manager Carlo Ancelotti as the new coach of Napoli that a deal was close for the 59-year-old Tactician. He also admitted that he had submitted his part of the negotiations to Sarri’s lawyers for completion.

Laurentiis revealed that he had made an agreement with Chelsea for the transfer of Italian international Jorginho. According to the media magnate, Jorginho took the decision to snub Manchester City offer as he preferred to live in London. He also suggested that Chelsea had offered the 26-year-old midfielder more quality terms than City.

“The Sarri deal is in the homestretch, it depends on him.

“I’ve laid down my conditions. It’s all in the hands of lawyers. Jorginho? We said to ourselves, ‘if Jorginho has any requests, we’ll take them into account’.

“For that, I’ll have to apologise to Manchester City. However, if the player would rather live in London than Manchester, I can understand that.

“If Chelsea are paying him even more, I can understand that too. Jorginho and Sarri together again? Jorginho would go to Chelsea regardless of Sarri.”

Chelsea have made little foray during this summer window however the impending arrival of Sarri to the club has fast-tracked the club transfer plans.

A deal worth €40 million has been reportedly agreed for Italian international Daniele Rugani and Russian star Golovin is expected to make a £25 million move from CSKA Moscow this summer.

Chelsea fans will be relieved that the long-running saga is set to come to an end.
