Ozil in – Arsenal’s strongest 3-4-1-2 XI to face Chelsea

Arsenal whose fifth position on the league table is at the verge of being usurped by Manchester United, will have to be on their best to get a result against Chelsea.

The fans expected line up to face The Blues in a 3-4-1-2 formation with Mesut Ozil and Montreal expected to return is as follow:

Goalkeeper – Bernd Leno is expected to continue in goal even after Petr Cech’s retirement announcement at the end of the season. The veteran might not be afforded the chance to feature one last time against his former club.

Defence –Koscielny, Sokratis and Monreal

Koscielny, alongside summer signing Sokratis and Monreal are gunning for a start against Chelsea. They will hopefully do a good job after recent shaky performance.

Unai Emery elected to start with Mustafi, alongside Koscielny and Sokratis in the lost against West Ham United but Monreal is expected to replace Mustafi who continues to make silly mistakes.

Midfield – Kolasinac, Torreira, Xhaka and Bellerin

Bellerin is expected to be recalled after recovering from injury but missed out against West Ham last week. Maitland Niles had a poor performance in the last match so we hope to see Hector Bellerin in the starting line up.

Also, Torreira is expected to be recalled after losing his place to Mateo Guendouzi but the youngster doesn’t perhaps have the energy to feature in two energy sapping matches yet.

Xhaka and Kolasinac are expected to retain their place even though the former had a match to forget against the Hammers.

Forward – Ozil, Lacazette and Aubemayang

Ozil has recently been left out of the team due to unfathomable incident between him and the manager. The German can be a handful when he wants to and this season he has performed well in the big matches even though he has a tendency to disappear if things don’t go his way.

However he still remains the key man for Arsenal and the team have missed his creativity when he’s been absent.

Anyways, the manager might continue to stick with Alex Iwobi, Aubemayang and Lacazette and relegate Ozil to the bench once more.
