Pep Guardiola angry at Arsene Wenger over Raheem Sterling comment

Manchester City condemned the Gunners to their fourth loss of the season in the Premier League having lost to Stoke City, Liverpool, Watford and Manchester City respectively, but City boss Pep Guardiola wasn’t happy with comments made by manager Arsene Wenger after the match having claimed the Englishman dived to win a second half penalty for his side as Kun Aguero converted from the spot to double the Citizens lead.

Wenger wasn’t happy with both Sterling and the match officials having claimed the winger ‘dives very well’ after been brought down by Nacho Monreal in the box and accused the match officials for killing the game after video replay showed David Silva was offside in the build-up to City’s third goal scored by substitute Gabriel Jesus.

Although, Pep Guardiola was stunned at Wenger’s comment after the match as he believed Raheem Sterling was too honest and could have gone down easily in the first half to give his side a penalty while trying to get on the end of Leroy Sane’s Cross.

The 22-year-old is enjoying a new lease of life under Pep Guardiola this season having scored 10 goals in 15 appearances in all competitions so far this season and would be happy he didn’t move to the Emirates in the summer after been included in a player plus cash exchange deal in the summer as Pep’s move for Chilean star Alexis Sanchez collapsed on deadline day as the Gunners couldn’t convince Frenchman Thomas Lemar to join them as replacement for Alexis Sanchez.
