Personal terms agreed, Arsenal agree transfer of World Cup star

As a result of the influx of new signings, another player linked with a move out the club is David Ospina. The Colombian international is expected to complete a move to Besiktas and all indications suggest a deal is close to being finalized.

Besiktas have been on the lookout for a goalkeeper after selling first choice Fabri to newly promoted Fulham.

Liverpool ‘s Mignolet had been linked to the Turkish giants but Ospina remains the first choice target and a fee of £2million for his signature. Arsenal are happy to sanction the transfer to reduce the club wage bill. Ospina has reportedly accepted personal terms with Besiktas as he is keen to rebuild his career with a top European club.

Ospina showed glimpses of his brilliance at the world cup showing that he still has a place among the world elite goalkeepers.  Ospina never really posed a threat to Petr Cech during his time with Arsenal despite featuring in most cup competitions for the Gunners. There is a feeling among club fans that a change of environment would be the best solution for both parties.

Ospina made only 6 appearances for Arsenal last season and has won 3 FA Cups since his move from Nice in 2014.
