Chelsea star Ruben Loftus-Cheek has cut short his holidays to resume training with the first team.

Loftus-Cheek was among the players given an extended break due to his involvement at the 2018World Cup but he has shown willingness to impress Sarri ahead of the new season.

Loftus-Cheek has not been able to break into the Chelsea squad despite the high hopes placed on him from his teenage years. however last season was his breakthrough season as he was a pivotal player in Crystal Palace’s escape from relegation.

The midfielder showed maturity and midfield control that belied his age and these performances led to a spot in the England team to the World Cup

Loftus-Cheek was pictured alongside fellow Chelsea academy graduate Ola Aina relaxing at the club’s canteen.

The Blues fans have high hopes for the 22-year-old this season and his passing and playing style should fit seamlessly into Sarri’s ball philosophy.

He would also be hopeful of building on the back of last season’s performance to become a mainstay in the team. Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been part of the Blues setup from a young age, featuring for most of the youth grade teams.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek returns to Chelsea

The England international has played a total of 32 games for Chelsea netting twice although the majority of the games have been from the Bench.
