Domagoj Vida of Besiktas has reportedly signed a two-year deal with Liverpool.

The 29-year old Croatian was part of the squad that represented Croatia in the just concluded FIFA World Cup that took place in Russia. He has added to his football achievements as he scored a header in the quarter finals match against Russia which ended in 2-1, making Croatia qualify for the finals.

The achievement of the defender wasn’t overlooked as big clubs like West Ham, Everton and Liverpool has shown interest in him.

According to reports from Turkey, It appears that Liverpool tops the list of the clubs that are interested in the player and have acquired his signature.

Reports from Turkish Publication, A Spor claims that the Croatian footballer has signed the two-year deal already as it also comes with the option of signing for a third year.

The reports also claims that Liverpool have signed the deal with Vida in principle but must come up with the €25million that is the asking price of Besiktas.

The president of Besiktas Fikret Orman made it known last week that there have been offers from different clubs for the player, recalling that Vida was signed into the club for free but he is now a world-class player and that €25million was the best price for the player.

Meanwhile, Vida wasn’t part of the players submitted to UEFA ahead of their Europa League playoff clash against B36 Torshavn and this should give us a hint of him being set aside for a possible transfer.

Vida will be joining fellow Croatian teammate Dejan Lovren in Anfield if his move is completed.
