PSG hoping to reach agreement with Chelsea for classy midfielder



French giants, Paris Saint Germain are reportedly ready to make a stunning swoop for French midfielder, N’Golo Kante in the summer.

Express Sport the Ligue 1 leaders have made the Frenchman their top target this summer and are keen on bolstering their midfield options by signing the energetic midfielder at the end of the season.

The defensive midfielder has been earmarked as a long-term replacement for aging and injury plagued midfielder, Thiago Motta who has only featured in 16 games across all competition for the French outfit.

The French international currently has three years left on his existing contract at Stamford Bridge and would definitely command a high transfer fee in other to be prized away from the Blues.

Although, the high-profile arrival of Brazilian playmaker, Neymar in the summer underlines the French outfit spending power and could submit an irresistible offer for the Frenchman.

The holding midfielder is arguably the best defensive midfielder in the world and his title-winning triumph for both Leicester and Chelsea made him become the first player to win the Premier League back to back with two different teams since Eric Cantona did the same with both Leeds United and Manchester United in the 1991/92 and 1992/93 season.

He has featured in 25 games across all competitions for the Blues this season scoring once and he is also known for his tough tackling, passing, concentration, interceptions and long shots.

With Antonio Conte’s future uncertain and the prospects of playing alongside the likes of Neymar, Cavani, and Thiago Silva, he might be open to leaving Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
