EX Napoli coach, Maurizio Sarri is expected to be confirmed Chelsea coach this week. According to several reports, the Italian is set to arrive in London on Monday to finalize details on his impending move. Sarri was anticipated to make the move to Stamford Bridge earlier in the month.

Sarri had been hindered from making the move as a result of a severance clause in his contract. Napoli Chief  Aurelio De Laurentiis recently denied any contact from Chelsea concerning the contract situation. However, it has been confirmed Chelsea have entered official discussions with the Italian club with talks going well.

It is believed that Chelsea had agreed to pay a fee of €5 million for the services of the 59-year-old tactician

Recent reports from Italy have confirmed that Sarri has agreed to personal terms with the London club.  Chelsea had earlier offered Sarri a three-year contract worth £5 million a season with a top four bonus of £1million. The Italian has identified transfer targets with several Napoli players linked with move to Chelsea.

Dries Mertens, Jose Callejon and Kalidou Koulibaly mentioned as transfer targets for Sarri. Chelsea recent forays to the transfer market indicate the managerial uncertainty is set to be resolved.

Report from Daily Express suggests Sarri will make a decision on his new home in London today ahead of an official announcement set to be made this week.

Current head coach Antonio Conte is expected to exit the club this summer. The Italian is holding out for the full payment of the severance fee worth a reported £9million. Though Chelsea are negotiating with Conte to pay a reduced compensation fee.

Chelsea fans are hopeful the expected confirmation of Maurizio Sarri would enable the club focus on bringing quality signings ahead of next season.
