Talks Ongoing: Arsenal officials spotted in player’s club



Gunners chief executive were reportedly spotted in Germany as the north London club are hoping to wrap up a deal for Gabonese forward, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gabonese striker has been earmarked as a direct replacement for Manchester United bound Alexis Sanchez who is reportedly close to completing his switch from the Emirates to Old Trafford having done his medical today at the club training complex, Carrington on Sunday.

Reports from English publication Goal understand that Arsenal chief executive, Ivan Gazidis, new contracts expert, Huss Fahmy and head of recruitment, Sven Mislintat were all spotted in Dortmund on Sunday in a bid to finalize a deal with the German outfit over the signing of wantaway star, Aubameyang.

It is believed the Gunners submitted a bid in the region of £44.1 million for the striker on Saturday but it was reportedly rejected by the German side as they will only consider an offer in the region of £53 million and could also be open to the idea of the north London club using French striker, Olivier Giroud has makeweight in the deal.

His antics off the field has left the German giants chief frustrated having been left out of the Borussia Dortmund matchday squad that played out a goalless draw against Wolfsburg at the Signal Iduna Park last week Sunday.

The 28-year-old has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Gunners but both clubs yet to agree on a fee for the Gabonese is believed to be holding up the deal.

Despite his disciplinary issues with the German club so far this season he has scored 21 goals and provided 3 assists in 24 games.

With the Gunners close to signing Henrik Mkhitaryan from Manchester United in a swap deal involving Alexis Sanchez, the front four of Alexandre Lacazette, Aubameyang, Mesut Ozil and Mkhitaryan will be something to behold and definitely frighten any defence in Europe.
