Three Chelsea stars set to leave following Sarri’s arrival

British outlet, Mirror claims Sarri arrival is set to hasten the departure of several players from Stamford Bridge.

Danny Drinkwater, David Luiz and Alvaro Morata were named in the report as the three major casualties of this massive exit. Luiz, 31, has been linked with a reunion with former boss Carlo Ancelotti at Napoli.

The Brazilian fell out of favour last season with embattled coach Antonio Conte and made few appearances amid injury problems. The Brazilian may be regarded as surplus to requirements if the Blues sign Kalidou Koulibaly, a key target for Sarri.

Danny Drinkwater is expected to end his disappointing stint at Stamford Bridge. The Midfielder joined Chelsea last summer but has found game time hard to come by under Conte. Drinkwater,27, has many suitors with West Ham, Southampton, and Everton interested in the player.

Morata is a surprising name on the list, though he endured a mixed spell in his first season in England. Chelsea record signing started the season well but fizzled out towards the end losing his place to French striker Giroud. AC Milan and Juventus are reportedly interested in the 25-year-old who cost Chelsea a club record £70million last summer.

Willian is also a target for United with reports suggesting the Old Trafford club is set to move for the £29-year-old. Maurizio Sarri is expected to be confirmed as Chelsea boss next week. The developments within the club in the next few weeks would be interesting to follow.
