The much-maligned striker has been criticised over his lack of professionalism by his bosses and is heavily linked with a move to Arsenal. Arsenal’s Boss Arsene Wenger is in the market for re-reinforcements as he looks to offset the loss of Theo Walcott and the departing Alexis Sanchez.

Three players in particular have been linked with a move to Arsenal and we assess these players profile and suitability to the Club
Henrikh Mhkitaryan

The Armenian international has been rumoured to be involved in a potential swap deal that will see Sanchez move to Old Trafford and the former to Arsenal. The midfielder possesses an immense ability, plus his vision and appreciation of tight spaces is hugely underrated. Prior to his arrival at Manchester United, the 28-year-old was a key figure at Borrusia Dortmund, winning the Bundesliga Player of the Year in 2016 and also recording the highest number of assists that season.

Although his stay at Manchester United has been topsy- turvy, largely due to persistent niggling injuries and an infuriating lack of consistency, however the midfielder’s class is undeniable and his signing will be a boost to Arsenal’s underwhelming season.

Riyad Mahrez

Mahrez has proven to be a revelation for Leicester City since joining the side in 2014. The Algerian was voted P F.A Player of the year in 2015, largely due to his efforts in Leicester unprecedented trophy triumph that same period.

It is undisputable the Leicester City Man is a star and at 26, still in his prime and would develop further into the world class bracket. He is a considerable upgrade to Alex Iwobi and the departed Theo Walcott, the winger  will add more explosiveness to the Gunners’ attacking play and is arguably the best player outside the Premier League top six.

Steven N’Zonzi
Steven-N'zonzi-Arsenal
The only player among the list known more for his defensive contributions than his attacking ones, Nzonzi is a solid defensive midfielder and would add more spine to Arsenal’s somewhat  excessive technical midfield.

The man-mountain has the guile and energy to break attacking moves by the opposition and is equally adept at scoring at the other end .The likes of Francis Coquelin and Granit Xhaka have failed to impress in the defensive role with the former shipped off to Valencia this January.

N’Zonzi is undoubtedly a level above the pair and also has the technicality and dynamism to create chances for his team mates. His move to Arsenal is also likely to be smooth due to a much-publicized fall out with Sevilla’s boss Vincenzo Montella.
