Two ways Antonio Conte can fix Chelsea

Antonio Conte has a crisis on his hand at Chelsea, the Blues have been on a poor run of form which has piled pressure on the Italian. Although reports claim the players are still behind the troubled coach.

Chelsea are currently fourth in the league, and have an upcoming Champions league match against Barcelona. Conte has time to turn things around with the London club as his popularity among the fans is high. Here below are two things he has to change to revive the blues fortune.

Reconcile his differences with the Board

Conte has always had a frosty relationship with the club’s board concerning various issues, ranging from transfers, contract renewal and players dissent. The board was reportedly dissatisfied with the way the Italian handled Diego Costa during the summer, with the Italian causing rift concerning the treatment of the striker. Conte has continually moaned about transfers, with sources claiming the Italian is dissatisfied with his lack of say in transfer matters.

Although he masterminded an unlikely league title last season , the Italian has been consistently linked with a move away from London.  A better relationship with the Board would bring a positive atmosphere to Stamford Bridge which could spur the players to perform at the required levels.

Revamp his tactics

Last season against Arsenal, during the halftime of the match Conte tried a system which would prove to be the masterstroke of the season. He switched his formation from 4-2-3-1 to 3-4-3 this led to a tactic which many teams could find no solution to.

This season it has been obvious that many teams have found solution to the formation forcing Chelsea to go wide on many occasions. This coupled with the lack of killer instinct from Morata has led to the Blues faltering against many teams that were swept aside last season. Conte has to find a new tactical tweak to his team which could revive his team’s season.

The Italian has shown on numerous occasions that he has the qualities to change his tactics to suit his team.
