Unai Emery makes £15m star his priority January signing

Arsenal have continued to be linked with attacking players as Unai Emery seeks to bolster the squad ahead of the second half of the season. One player linked with a move to the Emirates is Brazilian forward Wesley Moraes.

The Club Brugge star has been impressive since his move to Europe 2 seasons ago and has scored 31 goals in 100 appearances for the Belgium side.

According to the Sun, Emery is impressed with the striker and wants the club chiefs to sanction the signing in January. Arsenal have prepared a transfer package of £15 million which should be sufficient to snap the player. The Gunners are expected to face competition for the forward with the likes of Valencia and Fiorentina reportedly interested in the 22-year-old.

Wesley would be expected to play as a backup to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette and would be a long-term replacement for injured and out of contract forward Danny Welbeck.

Also, Emery is also after a left-back as Nacho Monreal is rumoured to be leaving in the summer and the club are expected to move for targets in January. Arsenal played a thrilling 2-2 draw against Manchester United on Wednesday and currently lie 6th in the League table.
