United scouts convince Mou to sign €30M Arsenal target – not Mehdi Benatia

Manchester United have joined rivals Arsenal in the race to sign Sampdoria star defender Joachim Andersen.

The United scouts have been keeping a close watch recently on the star player, according to reports by La Repubblica.

The report claims that Jose Mourinho has been convinced about the prospect of signing the player, with interest beginning to rise.

Other European clubs like Arsenal, Inter Milan and Juventus have all been heavily linked with Andersen in recent weeks.

Manchester United have suffered a heavy blow in most of their recent outings as they have failed to keep a clean sheet but rather come from behind to win some of their matches.

Joachim Anderson is already drawing attentions in the Serie A and there is all indication that a bidding war will commence for his services come January or in the next summer transfer window.

Mourinho has been ambitious to strengthen his defense with another central defender for some time having failed to bring on some key targets in the previous window.

Attempt to sign Andersen will cost up to €30 million, but the fee may increase with the rising interest for the player.

Jose Mourinho will need to keep up a good fight to bring on this sensational player if they are keen and willing to have a strong defense line that will be able to contain other top club’s attacking force.
