Liverpool outcast Divock Origi has revealed his intention of returning to Anfield ahead of next season.

The striker, who spent last season on loan at Wolfsburg, had a disappointing spell with the German side netting just seven times in all competitions. The player is not deterred and believes he can regain his form under Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp

Speaking to reporters the 23-year-old said, “Many times after a game, I get the feeling that I have not done enough, I should have done better.

“Of course there is room for improvement.“I have worked under several coaches and wish to appreciate each one of them. Jurgen Klopp though has helped me improve, he knows how to push you into performing, and he knows exactly what should happen.”

The Belgian was once regarded as a promising player and it would be interesting to see if he can challenge Liverpool fearsome front three for a place in the starting lineup. However, he could be a useful player to have on the bench as his direct style of play fits perfectly into Klopp’s philosophy of fast counterattacking football.

His return could yet lead to the exit of English striker Daniel Sturridge who is rumoured to be on his way out of Anfield.  Origi signed for Liverpool in the summer of 2014 and has made 51 appearances for the Reds scoring 12 goals.
